Live to Tape Show was billed as a "candid comedy show" featuring "two hosts, too much nostalgia, and too little therapy." It was a direct follow-up to Super Dumb Games, running from April through September 2014. The idea was to move away from the more formal, topical podcasting we had been doing with Super Dumb Games and return to our roots with free-form, personal, and often absurd/depressing shows. One interesting thing we tried out with Live to Tape was mixing in solo shows featuring just Tanner (Totally Tanner) as well as shows focusing on Tanner interviewing Chris about Chris's Parents (Chris's Parents).
